This week, we sent our purchasing manager Kim to test out Masta’s Protechmasta Infrared rug.
The Protechmasta rug is scientifically designed to improve your horse’s health and performance. It does this through enhancement and stimulation. The Infrared technology gently increases blood flow and promotes healing within your horse’s muscles. It is ideal for use before exercise to warm up the muscles. It is also helpful after exercise to aid repair and reduce lactic acid. The air mesh fabric is soft and absorbent. It will wick away moisture and help regulate body temperature. It does this by circulating warm air at a constant rate.
Kim says:
I bought this rug with the intention to warm up and cool down Jaguar’s muscles before and after exercise and I would definitely say the technology has had an effect. He certainly seems more relaxed after having the rug on for a short period. It is really good value for such advanced technology, compared to other brands with similar tech. The rug is really simple to put on and do up, I liked that it has the surcingles as some therapy rugs don’t have these. It’s well made in quality material in smart colours. Jaguar didn’t complain at all seeming relaxed in the rug! The only downside is the depth of the rug on my horse as it looks like a dress on him. However, the Infrared technology did help and relax him so the depth was not a deal breaker. I bought a 6ft rug and he is usually 6ft/6ft3 depending on brand, it isn’t adjustable at the front but was just right on him. This will be a rug I use regularly, it’s a nice rug, it looks smart and will be great to travel to and from shows with.
