I think absolutely all of us equestrians are counting down the days until the clocks go forwards (27th of March to be exact!) Dreaming of the warmer weather, less mud and beautiful summer sunset hacks! I must admit, being down in the south east of England, this winter was probably the nicest winter to own horses, very rarely was the temperature below 0 and the footing has been fairly dry! The fields are looking pretty good coming out of Winter.
At the moment we are at the very beginning of Spring and with this it brings some turbulent changes in temperature and weather conditions. Constantly checking the weather forecast; That’s why we have hand picked some of our favourite lightweight rugs suitable for stabling at night, travelling to competitions or grazing in the field!
